went out yesterday for my 100km Gran Fondo ride.... 40 km to a forest, 20km of forestry roads and single tracks and then home with a bit of a head wind.... got to the top of my street having been out of water for a while and wrecked but was on 95 so went around the block and got to the bottom of my street on 98.5km... most of my street is very steep but thought I would battle up to the top and then back down until I turned into it and hit the head wind again... so detoured a bit on the flattish section and got to my driveway at 99.9 so climbed a bit more and got home on 100.1 km .
saved the ride which auto uploads as I took off my helmet.... re uploaded as I took off my shoes... deleted all rides and then noticed that the ride hadnt uploaded.... have to do it again now

218 for me today. Was so wrecked in the heat I had to get rescued 5km from home. Couldn't drink, light headed.

First metric for the year for me. I do plenty of k's but rarely get a chance to do lots of them at a time. I will admit that I looked at my phone near the end and added in a few extras to make sure I got over the line.

I was pleased to still be setting PRs near the end of the ride.

Cheers,

Cameron

February saw lots of 50-60 days rides but not much opportunity for longer. Seized the day(s) this weekend with an Imperial (1550m elevation) yesterday and a Metric (1250m elevation) this morning.

YTD: Metric - 4 & Imperial - 2

Might take a couple of days off the bike me thinks.

Do I get double points for doing it on the MTB? :-P

107km, 7 hours 12 mins, and did a "Kosiuszko" (well, slightly over) with 2233m vertical (Mt Kos is 2228m). :-)
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Always funny when you manage to spot yourself on someone else's Flybys. I think our group of 10-15 was heading Sth (for my Sat Imperial) in Mooloolaba when you were heading Nth.

Nice riding btw.

167 kms today in the miserable weather. Beats sitting at home gazing out at the rain.

My second (or third??) metric century this year. Hardest ride I've ever done. This group (Forest Rollers) I tagged along with is seriously quick. I had nothing left with about 20km to go.

100.08km this morning in 3hrs 31 mins. Hit a wall at 84km and could hardly keep it above 25kph, but got a second wind at around 94km and managed to sprint the last kms home at 40-45kph.

I couldn't even ride over Christmas holidays due to a knee injury and only have been able to ride reasonably well the last three weeks.

I'm hoping to crack a double century by May/June.

Think it was my first metric century on road today. Combined a ride to the start, Loop the Lake and an aborted ride to sons soccer game to give me 105km. Done the metric off road quite a few times. On road is definitely quicker.

1st ever 200k effort for me today (1550m elevation). 140k solo and avgd over 30kph so was happy with that.

Interestingly, I decided to not have my speed displayed on my Garmin to stop me ummm, 'obsessing' :D over it during the ride. Ride was super enjoyable and hardly looked at the Garmin all day. Great day out.

Now...YTD: Metric - 6 & Imperial - 3

Second metric for 2017. Narrowly beat my previous distance record.
