Lost a little bit of ground due to a minor man flu, but got a 65km commute in today.
But looks like rain for the weekend

A 6k baby! My youngest was the first way back when it was just the 5k Club in 2011. Are you excited?Harrys767 wrote:I fell behind when things got busy at work, but tomorrow morning I'll be back on target....

I thought I'd put the time into crafting a mounting bracket to go on my $0 29er's odd-ball stem for my Garmin and Ay-Ups.

I did 5K last year (just starting to get into cycling on my first road bike) with a 1 and 3yr old. I'm hoping I won't get too far behind when the bub comes along, but I'll try to build in a bit of a buffer before then.
I generally ride at 4am anyway, so either way I'll be awake

Remainder of the year, aiming to keep consistently hitting the 500km/month target. If I can do that, the rest of the targets will look after themselves...

With skis on your back it could be called an Aussie Duathlon!skull wrote:ironhanglider wrote: Why? Lots of good km between Canberra and the ski fields.

Such a waste, a wife left with 3 x junior boys, he was only 48yo.
There is a fundraiser if you can spare a few bucks.

Glad to see you back Grant .... I was wondering what happened.grantw wrote:I had a very lack lustre July, strained my shoulder doing house maintenance and spent most of the month off the bike. Back on it as of last week though and managed a 100km ride on Friday so I'm hoping I'll get back in green before the end of August. So 196km and 1800m of up.
Hey Mustang I notice the Sunny Coast CycleFest is on in a couple of months with a climb up to Montville on the 7th Oct and a 110k Fondo on the Sunday 8th. Count me out of the climb but am considering having a crack at the Fondo. What is the course like .... is it manageable by an old bugger. Our local MB 100 is cancelled so am looking for another option.
Cheers
Graeme

I was also thinking about doing the fondo this year.grt046 wrote: Hey Mustang I notice the Sunny Coast CycleFest is on in a couple of months with a climb up to Montville on the 7th Oct and a 110k Fondo on the Sunday 8th. I did the mountain climb challenge up to Montville last year. Got a personal best so I was happy with that. It was my first time riding in an organised event so I went for something short and simple. I could also ride home afterwards as I'm only about 2km from Montville

Well living close to Montville you would be used to hills. A few of the guys I ride with have entered both but I think the climb one day and a hilly 110k Fondo the next might be a bit much for me.Orion wrote:I was also thinking about doing the fondo this year.grt046 wrote: Hey Mustang I notice the Sunny Coast CycleFest is on in a couple of months with a climb up to Montville on the 7th Oct and a 110k Fondo on the Sunday 8th.
