Happy with a 608km month, given a bit of half speed MTBing thrown in.
6726m up.

He's ahead of me and I decided to try out for the 10K club this year, that Mugglechops will reach 6K by July at this rate

I am doing the Hunt 1000 in November, but leaving from Nowra.

About 1200kms mostly off road in around 10 days.

So I need to get some kms into my legs

Well I'm envious of that. What a great ride that's going to be.

Great to see so many riders still in the green as we approach the cold days. My buffer is not great, but I'm still ok for now. I have an operation scheduled in a couple of weeks, so June is unfortunately likely to be my lightest month. Could be hitting the red very soon. Hoping to back it up in Spring.

Any Strava Experts?
My Sunday century will not load. Its transferred to the computer but Strava & ACF have not picked up the ride.
I have refreshed Garmin Connect, tried different cables, was able to transfer a dummy ride today, so the system seems OK

When I look at the "history" on the Garmin, Sunday will not show.
Also rebooted the Garmin 500 & the computer?? puzzling.

Just adjusted my goals to 6K this year. Started at 4k, went to 5k after a bit of thought.
Sitting at 2926 after the weekend so have had a "why not" moment.

Going to be doing a bit of travelling for work over the next couple of months so the challenge will be to make up for the time away.

If you have the .fit fileon your PC simply upload it manually using the upload activity/from file option

Though if it's not showing in the garmin history it may be corrupted...

Hi Grant,
The 500 downloaded the file to my computer, so I have done what you suggested (uploaded the file to Strava) not sure how I did it but its now there, I also wanted the Gran Fondo badge. I guess the 500 is now 5 years old so I should look at updating, 100km rides are too precious to loose, Thank you for your help.

Just after the start of June, and looking good!!

Primary goal is 5000km, and stretch goal is 6000km. Currently just over 2200km, so ahead of the primary goal, and the 6000km stretch is still within reach. I missed 4 weeks straight earlier in the year due to travel, so very happy to still be on track.

Most importantly - well ahead of every other year I've ever ridden, and it feels great!! :-)

I feel like I am doing ok, I started off behind the eight ball but since then have been steady.

Doing mtb rides on weekends rather than road rides has also hampered my count. About to disappear of the radar for a few weeks with work, and also since it is now winter any weekends for the remainder of July and August will involve being at the snow. So I am going to really need to commit to keeping my week day rides up to not lose too much ground.

I aim to finish Nov and Dec with some big kms to finish off the year.

No worries, the garmin has eaten a couple of my long rides in the past, so I know what it feels like!

Hoping to hit green by the end of the week. Been harder than expected given that I usually manage 10-15k a year.

I expect your area Cardy is almost zero?
6 in SEQld tomorrow, that's getting cool for us. Trouble is how much gear to wear? Overheating in a bunch is nearly worse than being too cold☃️
Cheers

We've had a couple of -2 mornings in the last couple weeks, with the 'feels like' temp down around -4. I head off to work just before the sun cracks the horizon, which around here is the coldest part of the day. Weird thing is I haven't resorted to my brass monkey clothes. Riding in zero degrees in sunlight feels much warmer than zero degrees in the dark like I had to do with my last job.

Oh definitely! I stopped my night rides due to the cold, but I seem fine when riding in -1 and blue sky. I cant figure it out...

UV light, wonderful stuff in the correct dosage!

We had a balmy 7 degrees this morning, mainly because of the fog that hung around til 10am. 200 meters of visibility made riding out on to the 100kmh highway we live on a little 'interesting'

That brings back memories Cardy George as I lived in Robinvale for a few years before moving to North Queensland after a short stint near Ballarat. Cold mornings in Robinvale were usually followed by picture perfect sunny days ..... good memories.

Well done chrism_29er. I too have just reached my halfway point. Nice to have a bit of a buffer.

Well Done you "half wayers" .
Wet, wet wet here in SEQld this week, I actually bought a magnetic trainer yesterday, as much as I hate the things!!!!

MS ride on Sunday, I would have liked to enter the 160km but reniged to the 100km as I've had a month of ray treatment, I think its going to be a BIG day, under the circumstances, but all for a good cause.

Thanks Mustang ...... noticed that you have rolled through halfway as well .... good stuff.

Good luck with the Bris to the Bay .... the weather looks promising after the sodden week we have had thus far. I have elected to give it a miss this year while planning to do the MB100 https://moretonbay100.com.au/ which this year is being managed by my Club, Moreton Bay Cycle Club. Four distances with both a Metric and Imperial 100, a 67km and 14km family ride so put September 24 in your calendar. I am still undecided on which hundred I plan to do but will see how I am travelling closer to the day. It would be great to catch up if you can make it.

Mustang, before you ask, I was 99% of the way through posting the story on Vintage Vans when I hit the wrong button and it all disappeared :? . I'll try again on the weekend
