My Initiation Is Complete

My 5 week initiation to road cycling is complete (well probably not really, but its definitely a milestone period).
I have
1. Bought the bike
2. Bought the clothes
3. Done the transition to clipless pedals and shoes
4. Fallen off
5. Been paid out by work colleagues for lycra, walking around in cleats etc.
6. Dealt with a mid commute puncture
7. Done a full week of commuting (every day)
...... AND..........
8. Another roadie finally said hello to me (sure, it was as he wizzed by me, but it was still acknowledgement all the same!)
There are a lot of 'exclusive' or non-acknowledging riders out there (I pass a big gang of em' every single morning going the opposite way). Probably cos everyone is pushing into headwind or something, but it is way different to my motorcycle. There is head nodding going on all over the place when you pass a fellow motorcyclist.
