I've seen more Kangaroos in the last week than I have in my entire life. Had a big mob pass in front this afternoon, had to wait for the biggest to check me out before it crossed.
Geez I hate living in the country

Not living in the country here, but there are kangaroos around. I had a pair on the weekend on the cycleway that just kept on going in front of me. They ended up going out onto a road and narrowly missed getting hit by a car. Car driver was pretty shocked.Cardy George wrote:I've bumped my goal up from last year and to help that I'm piecing together a route that keeps the average each way distance at around 20km without costing me time on the dirt. After leaving work I ride 8km on the tarmac then turn onto a dirt track alongside the river. From there it's across a flood plain on the tail end of the billabong, then 5km on tar to home.

Good to see you pushing out the k's.
I think you have shortchanged us a bit. A quick count gets me 14 with targets <10,000km so included in the 6k club.
They are grt046, Cardy George, skull, Mugglechops, lewie15, artbuckle23, Mustang, chriso_29er, abby, Zippy7, Robert L, JohnJoyner,1Rowdy1, Neddysmith.
There maybe more as I only did a quick scan.

I was only looking at the 6K not those that have higher targets. When the 6K was separate I felt it was more active.

I am trying 6k again.Mustang wrote:6000km Club:

So far I am tracking better than I did this time last year yet still behind. Feeling like I am getting my bike legs back at least. It is challenging when I am away working a fair bit

Good to see you trying, you can always use a lower challenge to keep the interest up then raise it a bit so your goal is achievable.skull wrote:I am trying 6k again.Mustang wrote:6000km Club:

Its only 17km a day, but when the weather turns bad, or work commitments take you away, a 100km loss soon looms up!!

I am happy with the 6k, I am pretty confident it will be completed this year as I have started to get keen again and even rejoined the local club.
I don't think I could drop the target kms anyway, even though I didn't make it last year from completing 10k to 15k km distances annually only a few years ago I already feel that 6k is a low target

Plus did 30 hours totalling all exercise types, so ahead of my 1hr/day exercise goal for the year too!
Big month coming up for March. Got my first 10km run for the year on Sunday (IWD FunRun in Brisbane). Then my first metric centuries for the year - the Cycle of Giving 100km, and the Ride the Range 112km that finishes with a looong climb up to Toowoomba. Hopefully my consistency so far will give me enough base to get through...

You could keep the target and I could ‘accidentally’ double your kmsskull wrote:CheersMustang wrote: Good to see you trying, you can always use a lower challenge to keep the interest up then raise it a bit so your goal is achievable.
