Hi All,
I am fairly new to Brisbane and planning to start cycling to work this week. I live in Manly West and work in the CBD (Queens Street).
I am trying to determine the best and safest route to the city from Manly West, which so far seems to be Manly Rd -> Wynnum Rd, however I’m not sure where to from there?
On the bus this morning, I did notice cyclist turning off the Wynnum Road cycling path onto Laidlaw Parade, then cycle through Mowbray park, but from there I wasn’t sure how to get across the river as the Story Bridge area doesn’t really seem cycle friendly.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Robbie

Or this way.

Google Maps does not show it, but at the end of the city end of the Story Bridge turn right and a few metres along there is a ramp that goes back under the bridge.
Do NOT ride through the stop sign at the bottom of the very steep Ivory Lane. It is frequently policed.

RonK, just FYI the stop sign at the bottom of Ivory Lane has been replaced by a Give Way, much to the relief of all.
