Rate my Bike

Just recently got into mountain biking, looking for some feedback on my bike. I know it's not the best, but any constructive criticism is great. Don't really want to spend lots of money as it's not a very expensive bike in the first place but any cheap upgrade suggestions would be appreciated. Rate the looks #/10.

Looks good 8/10. Yellow cables to match the yellow graphics on frame is nice touch. What's with the handlebar stem, is that a computer on it?
