Bike fitter Melbourne recommendations

Postby tomee » Thu May 17, 2018 9:48 am

Looking for bike fitter in melbourne to help me a little with my position and form.
i get a little tightness the day after in certain areas after a hard session.

i have narrowed down to 2-3 currently

https://neillsbikefit.com.au/ who uses Steven Hogg's fit
https://www.adaptivehp.com/
www.physiobikefit.com.au

Has anyone used the above and been happy with results?

thanks in advance

I had an initial fit with Ken (AT) Adaptive last year. Really nice guy. I went to see him primarily for my knee issue. He ended up adjusting my cleats, looking at my general position and recommending I use shorter cranks and a longer stem. He sent me away saying try the cranks first and let me know how you go. If you want a full fit come back and I'll take the initial fit fee off the full price. He knows his stuff, I know a few other people who have used him and have been happy. He does favour an aggressive position, so if that's what you want thumbs up. For slightly more money also consider riderfit.cc. He has fit Gerrans, Canty, etc. I'd always go for a fitter who has a health related qualification, but I've heard good things about Stewart (AT) riderfit.

If a drive to Gippsland isn't out of the question, you could go and see John Kennedy at Kennedy Cycle Fit now located in Korumburra, previously at MSAC in Aughtie Dve and a premises in Black Rock.
