Riding on Victorian footpaths

Postby CKinnard » Mon Jul 16, 2018 10:48 pm

I'm working in regional Victoria currently.
Brought my CX down to ride along the Murray River and do a bit of utilitarian riding.
I understand if you are over 18yo, you cannot ride on the footpaths in Victoria (unless you have medical exemption).
Can anyone advise how rigorously this law is enforced?

Rarely enforced, unless you're bombing around town center footpaths. Or if you look like a drug dealer you might be spoken to. But riding on general suburban footpaths not bothering anyone I doubt any Mr Plod would waste his time.

Yeah, if you're near the Murray no one will worry unless you do something that deserves attention.
