Freighting wheels

Postby Paul B » Sun Aug 05, 2018 4:57 pm

So I’m in Hobart and looking to send some wheels to Frankston. I have them packed and ready. Can someone advise me as to the most expedient manner in which to get them outa here. I will deliver them to,the freight depot. Any idea of cost?

Pack them in a round shape rather than a square one, otherwise they will potentially exceed the size limit. If you do so, and have a friendly post office you can get them Australia wide for around $30-$40.

What rangersac said. Post office can't do a cubed measure on a circular item

Yea thanks guys. I did a Aus Post search last night and found their online calculator. Had wheels already packed in the wheel box my Enve’s came in so the packaging was free :D Measured 65x66x30cm (AT) 7kg. $53 from Tas to Vic.
Pretty good I reckon.

Sent them this morning...$51.90. The AUS Post guy weighed and measured the box and advised me that I was to pay $83.
*cough*. just as well for me that I am diligent in sussing these matters out ahead of time. A few words and the correction was made. No admission of an error was forthcoming but my bank balance didn’t take a hit
