It makes you cringe completely.

It's worse for all those riders who aren't in this world - those who just ride for commute purposes, those ones who've got nothing to do with all of this.

He has been named in a few sources. Shouldn't be hard to find if your Google-Fu is working. I can understand why they didn't use his name in the article.

not 100% sure if the personal detail and quotes justified - not defending the guy - well written but maybe not needed

The name has been out for ages, but since it's speculation and the individual has a lot of time and determination for vendettas whoever they are and has demonstrated they will go to fairly great lengths to remain secret it is best not published.

It's an open secret all over the web though.

Well maybe you could just say something like: "Some people are suggesting that the cyclist involved could be .....", there are no liability issues in doing that.

Fairly clear there are some mental health issues here, whether assessed and receiving therapy is a different matter. On that basis, don't think naming and shaming in this environment is a great idea.

Mobile right now so I'll read the full article later. Ive heard some of the back story. But yes as above, naming and shaming isn't productive or a solution.

Definately non trivial mental health issues. (Which is said in empathy not in insult.)

Like many, I've heard the name bandied around. But the story is what matters not who.

Anonymity has it's place, but if it's used for abuse, as is the case here, it should be withdrawn.

Ok so google tells me that it's *probably* Queensland ex competitive cyclist **** ****, but that is still only suspected. Whether or not this is the actual guy that's running DFROC , I am at least certain that this *is* the character that the above cycling tips article is discussing.

Yes definitely mental issues, no doubt about that. The behavior leading up to this (as described in the cycling tips article), where he keeps falling out with every group he tries to ride with, points to a controlling type personality disorder. It's not unlike those cases you read about where someone cannot get on with anyone at work and they get fired - then come back the next week and shoot up the place trying to kill everyone.

The whole thing is disturbing the the fake pictures, and sad that someone resorts to outright lies to push the point.

I couldn’t be bothered who it really is, but says something that no one seems willing to put name out in the open ?
