A mate of mine will be doing the north to south of Taiwan race. Its 520km which has a time cut of 24 hours.
I was hoping to get some tips for him on what race tactics he could use. The route is almost all flat and he expects temperatures to be mid 20s. Any tips on nutrition, fueling, etc etc would be good - so I can pass it on to him.

Make sure the body is hydrated days before the race and then small amounts of fluid during the ride on a regular basis because you "can't" hydrate to 100% on the day that it starts. Same goes for food, regular intake on the day, don't wait till ya depleted you energy stores and then, try and fuel up, as it's to late!

Are the riders allowed to ride together?
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
