Angry Doctor 100Km MTB Enduro
Just South of Batemans Bay on the Eurobodalla Coast lies the quiet town of Mogo. Most days, all you can hear is the occasional roar from the resident lion at the Mogo Zoo. But on Sunday 2 September 2007, you’ll be hearing a lot of “whoops†and “yeehas†coming from the forest: a special bread of animals will take over the area and make it their own for a day. I am talking about enduro mountain bike racers, and they will be coming in throngs for what promises to be an amazing course! With over 60% of single tracks in one big loop, sweeping corners, great terrain and awesome views as an extra bonus, this will be a crackin’ race! There will be a prologue in the afternoon the day before to identify the fastest riders and give them a chance to start ahead of the pack. For the rest, there will still be opportunities to pass racers on fire trails throughout the course, no worries! 2 options are available to the competitors: the full-blown 100Km course and a shorter 50Km for those who are not 100% sure of their endurance level yet. The first feedback we received from riders show that the organisers’ biggest problem might be to stop participants from going around and around the loop once they’re done with the race! Finally, the event takes place only minutes from the beach, so you can even go for a surf afterwards: what’s not to like?!
