Slack I admit, but then I'm not labelled "FPR Jubilado Bludger" for nothing. In truth it was quite a hard day by the time I got home. I actually flew up the Hawkesbury Lookout hill as the last climb of the day. Quick coffee at Springwood and headed down the road however the down hill and the slog along the F4/M7 rather took it out of me on the 50 kms to home. Though my strict adherence to the Australian Institute of Sport post exercise recovery diet comprising Dewar's White Label with soda, Toohey's Pils, fish and chips with white wine (though I do admit to now having diverged from the diet onto red wine) will I'm sure see me right as rain come the morning

It's finally back for 2012! Put the toe in the water as a test with Donny up to Charlottes Pass from Jindabyne this afternoon. Hot and windy!
May have made a mistake in trying new SMP saddle for first time on this ride. Finished with real painful left leg. Not good with a "Tom/Geehi" R/T scheduled for the morning. Might try lowering the saddle to see if that makes a difference. :(

It's back after an inexcusable break :) Who needs the Alps or the Pyrenees with little rippers like these on our doorsteps  Was supposed to have been three climbs today however sadly the old legs cried "Enough" after two.

Induction to HTFU Thursday for Watt the Younger today. Quite a tough day and to be honest don't think either of us had the legs for Bellbird Hill after Bowen Mt and the preceding exertions.
Really good day out and will feel the better for it some day I hope!

Not sure if this is worthy of the Thurs HTFU Rides, but i am doing a softer version of last weeks ride tomorrow Thursday 4th October. I'll be heading out Windsor Road to Richmond, then left onto Castlereigh Rd, then do the Hawkesbury lookout climb to Springwood.Back down to Maquarie pass, then up lapstone hill to Springwood. Then home via Hawkesbury lookout and windsor Rd. Not doing Bowen or old Bathurst   If anyone is interested Pm me and we can sort out a meet point. Looking at Leaving Acacia Gardens(Quakers Hill) around 6 or 7 am ish (Flexible).Tim

Was home by 11.45 before it really got "gusty hot". Glad I was not out there much later. Got my gears tuned by BMXBandito while down at Camden. Running sweet as and changing like a switch on the way home.

Took a ride up this little beauty yesterday for first time in a few years. It doesn't get any easier. 460m ascending in 4600m with pitches much steeper than 10%. Highly recommended if pain is your thing!
