^ Agree! Huge effort mate. I think it was only a matter of time before there was a big stack there. cos no one wanted to go over the debris, so would dive over to the side, not optimal when one side basically comes on to it blind.

Thanks Hergest and Bourney for your comments.

Not interested of carton as I`m an ex-alcoholic after many years of alcoholism that nearly killed me before I started riding to gain fitness. 11 yrs of riding and still not dead yet. :)

Parra Council boundary on PVC ends at Waratah st/Wharf Rd. Wentworth Point and Olympic Park is now in control of Parra Council, formerly from Auburn Council. North side of M4 to Oly Park is now Parra Council boundary.

I'm a bit dissappointed - I checked the Queen's Birthday honours list & bunged knee is not on it. We will have to fix that for next year

Meadowbank Park detour is now over.

I rode back from Rhodes and found it open and the temporary fencings removed. Now anyone can ride thru and no detour.

It was open last Friday afternoon. One small victory, two to go : Rhodes Community Center foreshore, Bennelong Parkway Bridge and the closed path in front to Ausgrid substation.

Bill Brewer bridge near Rheems factory will be closed tomorrow 28/9/16 for repairs between 9.30am and 2,30pm.

There is no signs of diversions in place on this PVC but only notices at the bridge.

My mistake of times as it said 9.30am til 2pm. Only for timber repairs. It`s not good as it`d better be replaced with metal/alloy grids just like the Balludarri boardwalk.

What's happening with the cycleway making its way all the way into Paramatta, along the river. I've heard that they are building along the edge of the cliff

It ran out of money when it was flooded last year and council stopped the work.

Don't know when it will resume works in future as no works had been done for over a year.

That's a shame, is anyone following it up with the council?

Charlene Boardley (President of CAMWEST) had told me last year of council decision due to flood as it drained the cash for this work. And still haven`t been notified of this progress yet.

From last years ongoing inclement over few days.It caused the flood. I took a pic of it from Parramatta wharf on 21/4/15.
Orange container in background was the storage of machines for the work that is no longer there.

ps, there`s still 2 more works yet to connect the Parramatta Valley Cycleway all the way from Parramatta Park to Waratah st Melrose Park without getting on roads very soon.

2 missing links are the Escarpment and the Subiaco Creek boardwalks yet to be completed in the near future.

don't think so.

between parramatta and parramatta park, it's status quo (i.e. cycleway behind Riverside Theatre, through the old King's School ground, under Marsden Road bridge, etc .. ).

Lake Parramatta to Putney? I think not. They surely mean Parramatta Park to Putney as Parramatta Lake is up around North Rocks.

Considering so many cyclists ride through this section,

https://www.google.com.au/maps/(AT)-33.817 ... 312!8i6656,

I am surprised no one has complained and/or council hasn't done anything about the nasty bump at the end of the Pike St cul-de-sac. A kerb ramp seriously needs to be installed there. DIY asphalt late at night, anyone?

EDIT: Decided to do something about and lodge a request to council to fix it.
If you guys can do the same that would be great. Only takes less than 5 minutes.

Yeah, it was me that mentioned it lol. Anyway, I have reported to council. Let's hope they do something about it.
