New gates at Mitchell's pass?

And now the Council have put up a solid fence and gate setup at the top near the old bridge so you can't get down that way at all. Apparently they are doing the work needed to open the road again for cars. Which is a real shame. It's been great being able to go both ways on the bike, and it's obviously been popular with walkers/joggers etc.

I wonder how many of the people in the houses up the top of Mitchells Pass Rd near the roundabout actually want the lower section opened to cars again. Once it's open their nice peaceful backwater will again become a commuter racetrack during peak hours, and a moron racetrack on Friday and Saturday nights.

Shame eh. Shame that the Council can't show a bit more insight into what makes a community tick.
