Re: Deja Vu - aka fitzs challenge
that reminds me i need to register. and i also need that cassette :s
Re: Deja Vu - aka fitzs challengeI've got a 12-32 and a mtb derailleur if you want it Scotto. That and a 12 pack of HTFU. The missus has hinted that she would be happy to have a weekend away for this event next year, so I might look to do it then. Actually, when you've stopped crying after this year you can let me know how it went.

Re: Deja Vu - aka fitzs challengeat lunch today i put the 11-28 on and while at it got the compact crankset out to see the difference.
within 100m of home my front tyre went down - right under the local magpies tree - didnt bother to fix it, just skulked home looking over my shoulder !!.
Re: Deja Vu - aka fitzs challenge
which version (km's) are you doing ?
Re: Deja Vu - aka fitzs challengeWas going to do the epic this year but achilles problems have seen me just return to the bike after 6months off. Last weekends 40km effort hurt enough, don't think I'll be in good enough form to attack Fitzs. Nevermind, there's always next year.

Re: Deja Vu - aka fitzs challengecompact and 11-28 for me. I haven't done anywhere near enough training for this. The 250 is going to destroy me I think...

Re: Deja Vu - aka fitzs challengeThought I'd have to skip fitz this year because of child minding duties, enter who else but Nanna!
I'm going to sign up for the 205km again, although my ego would love to have a crack at the 250km I'd like to be able to compare my time from last years. Aside from the torture side of it (that we all love deep down) I had so much fun last time. Great roads, great scenery and great people, volunteers and cyclists. I'll be running 50-34t and 11-25t again.

i'm doing the 160 don...
Re: Deja Vu - aka fitzs challenge
you already planning on pulling out with 5kms to go. Am doing the 165km with Scott, and fear we are in for a whole world of hurt It's an awesome event though. A tough ride through some great roads and good scenery. Would recommend anyone to get down there for the weekend. There's plenty of different ride distances to cater for most levels. 2006 Giant OCR Comp
