I'm heading there Sunday (as in 3 days time) fro the whole week. Hoping to do some road riding, and check out the MTB track I read about near Pambula... Hopefully the weather holds up...

Just thought I'd report back. Had a great time in Merimbula - went to Tathra with the MTB one day, and rode the Doolagharl track - this is a well built section of track with some great descents and very enjoyable ascents. There are about a dozen bridges across a ravine, and the track sweeps from one side to the other on the advanced descent.

I also rode the loop from Merimbula through South Pambula and Lochiel to Wyndham, then over Myrtle Mountain to Candelo, on to Wolumla back to merimbula. A nice 83km circuit with a bit of a climb in the middle. Worth heading out to the Myrtle Mountain lookout, about 200 metres off the road, for a look at the view and to catch your breath before the great descent to Candelo.
