That also means that you'll have approx 4600m of descents too......... .stevet wrote:According to NFS's links it's approx 4,600 meters of climbing.
Total respect for the guys tackling this ride; it's a decent drive in a car, let alone on a bike.

If someone comes up along side of you tomorrow they just want to chat, they are not trying to beat you.
If someone moves in front of you tomorrow they are just taking a turn, they are not trying to beat you.
Nobody wants to beat you

Too right! I'm going in hyper conservative mode. I'll give you a big hug at Jenolan and another one when we get back to the bubbler. But the chatting is going to be out unless you want to be a hood ornament on a B double.Chuck wrote:Note to stevet-

Take it easy out there guys and stay safe. I know you'll be looking out for each other, but don't be too 'hard' to turn back if you think you need too. We'll call you soft for a while, but that'll pass after a year or two
Cheers,
Greg

Awesome effort Sandy (and the others but they're not as "mature" as your kind self so easier for them ).
Congrats, and why not again? Bucket-list?

All the young whipper snappers did it easy as I'm sure they will report Simon, I think I only have one ride like that in me. I'll rest on my laurels if you don't mind!Boognoss wrote:NotFlyingScot wrote:Finally. At my third attempt. Thanks to the guys for their encouragement without which could not have done it. Well done Sandy, glad you made it home OK.stickgc wrote:Onya guys, tops effort. Glad you made it back safely.
I managed 325km at 25.8km/h average.
I concur 100% with Sandy, this is a bucket list item never to be repeated (or at least my memory will have to deteriorate significantly)
The climb on the way back up Mt Victoria (after 210km) was the hardest climb I have ever done
Well done too to Don, MTBSteve, Chuck, John, Ehly on being great company and completing an Epic HTFU Ride (I am sorry you weren't feeling 100% Zozz, it would have been great to have to with us for the rest of the ride)
And lastly I hope MTBSteve and Chuck feel OK and your bikes are OK after stacking on the M4 shoulder.
See you guys on the cycleway in 6-7 months
