Good luck guys, have a great ride. Stay upright, and free of mechanical delays. Bailout options are at Mt Victoria, Blackheath, Katoomba, etc. Hopefully any bailer outers will be on the way back, not on the way there.
Good luck guys, don't forget, photos or it didn't happen
That also means that you'll have approx 4600m of descents too......... .
Total respect for the guys tackling this ride; it's a decent drive in a car, let alone on a bike.

Note to stevet-
If someone comes up along side of you tomorrow they just want to chat, they are not trying to beat you.
If someone moves in front of you tomorrow they are just taking a turn, they are not trying to beat you.
Nobody wants to beat you
Too right! I'm going in hyper conservative mode. I'll give you a big hug at Jenolan and another one when we get back to the bubbler. But the chatting is going to be out unless you want to be a hood ornament on a B double.
Oops sorry Chuck! I just remembered you run Shimano. I think the hugs are out.
Unfortunately were all out of the Super Record T/P but I will be bringing these, there are 10 wipes in the pack and will retail for $10 per wipe(cash only! No IOU's) I reserve the right to change this price depending on demand
EDIT: NO COINS ACCEPTED!

Hey, at least one side is clean.
Enjoy guys. It looks like the weather is going to be perfect I wish I could join you
Keep me updated on your progress
Good luck tomorrow. Report on Sunday (AT) 18:00 when you roll back in please .
Must sleep...Must sleep....must sleep........must....... sleep.....zzzzzzz...z....zzz..zzz.
You should all be asleep in bed by now, but I'll post this anyway. I was planning on seeing you at the bubbler (since I'm normally going past there at 5.30 anyway ) but won't be able to get out in the morning afterall.
Take it easy out there guys and stay safe. I know you'll be looking out for each other, but don't be too 'hard' to turn back if you think you need too. We'll call you soft for a while, but that'll pass after a year or two
Nice day for it
A helmet saved my life
Finally. At my third attempt. Thanks to the guys for their encouragement without which could not have done it. Had to turn garmin off about 6km from home . Low battery warning, What a mother of a ride. never to be repeated by this old fart!
Hope everyone got home safely.

Awesome effort Sandy (and the others but they're not as "mature" as your kind self so easier for them ).
Congrats, and why not again? Bucket-list?

All the young whipper snappers did it easy as I'm sure they will report Simon, I think I only have one ride like that in me. I'll rest on my laurels if you don't mind!

Yes mate, the new beast is a pleasure to ride.I also learnt today we share the same surname,
Well done Sandy, glad you made it home OK.
I managed 325km at 25.8km/h average.
I concur 100% with Sandy, this is a bucket list item never to be repeated (or at least my memory will have to deteriorate significantly)
The climb on the way back up Mt Victoria (after 210km) was the hardest climb I have ever done
Well done too to Don, MTBSteve, Chuck, John, Ehly on being great company and completing an Epic HTFU Ride (I am sorry you weren't feeling 100% Zozz, it would have been great to have to with us for the rest of the ride)
And lastly I hope MTBSteve and Chuck feel OK and your bikes are OK after stacking on the M4 shoulder.
See you guys on the cycleway in 6-7 months
I hope there are wheels to suck in Brisbane
Well done guys. Im definitely in next time you guys do a long ride like this. Would of done this one if my longest ride before it wasnt only 125km. Almost 5000m of climbing so much fun!
