Has/does anybody do this ride? I'm looking at trying to train for the 110km (longest distance Ive ever done), but the course profile looks seriously scary
http://b2b.asn.au/pdf/Long%20Course%20Profile.pdf
I really have no idea on how to read those things tho - any pointers on what it all means?
How does it compare to the Gong ride?
Cheers

The highest elevation of Gong ride is around 250m. This is tougher and out on the highway. The continuous up and down will strain your legs.
Just do it!
Just do it!

I'm cycling from Sydney to Orange on Friday the 29th Dec. Maybe we can catch up?
If you can't explain it simply, then you don't understand it well enough.

plenty of rolling hills which makes it a joy to ride. the surface is a little rough though, and be prepared for rain!

Always up for a good hill! Might give the 162 km ride a go.
Does anyone know - do you have to be a member of a racing club (or cyclingnsw) to participate? What about for the hill climb event? I'm a bit confused because it doesn't seem to mention this on the website ( http://www.b2b.asn.au/index.htm) but when you click register it asks for your membership number. I'm a member of bicycle nsw Btw.

I think for the events on the Sunday (i.e the 100km, 162km etc), they are classified as Sportif events and a race license is not required. The hill climb and criterium on Saturday are races and a Cycling Australia Race license will be required.joomz wrote:Always up for a good hill! Might give the 162 km ride a go.

I plan to be there for the hill climb and the 162km.
