Long time since the Aldi bibs saw the light of day  Did have to bin a couple of other old faithfuls the other day after complaints of overexposure. Shame on them for sitting on an old man's wheel anyway I reckon
May have to take a run down to see you about some additional wardrobe for the trip in any case.

No reference made to compacts Donny  He did stipulate about cassette size though, so I guess you won't be getting a lift with him :P

Since the Spizman's coming I'll probably be taking the noisy one. That's if I'm driving... we'll have to sort out what cars we have to choose from I guess. There's 8 of us going so there's going to be a bit of stuff to pack in.

my mode of transport will be a civic hatch. The 4x4 with the kids seats needs to stay with the wifey.
would prefer to hitch ( will not bring garmin and 27 if I have to ) and pitch in for petrol if possible.

Mine is default...only one vehicle in the fam. That means I need to hitch a ride and of course will share petrol expenses....

Only two weeks to go. Time to start pointing the bike uphill occasionally in preparation. Steady repeats on Garie Beach Rd. this afternoon as a starter.

You're a glutton for punishment Ehly. Of course if I had not had to be home to buy dinner I'd have done 9 repeats on Garie Beach
Rode like a plonker this morning. Comfortable throughout, about 8th wheel under the bridge at ECR on last lap, decided to go real wide on the downhill R/hander, bloke in front decided to start braking, about 25 went past on the inside and it was all over  well that's my excuse for this wee!

Stuff riding up hills, my training for the Snowies now consists of trying to find a good jacket for the expected wet weather  The light weight one I took last year just didn't cut it when we came down Falls Creek :(

A week to go gents :D :D :D

Current form guide;

Ehly- Training hard, fit, fast. Completely mad. Loves being in the hurtbox.
Lou- Rides up and down hills with Ehly, so must be at least slightly mad.
Spiza- Spent the last month drinking coffee. Hasn't slept since. Doesn't ride Cervelo, but still dangerous.
Donny- Rides Cervelo, but might be taking the Giant. Still in with a chance.
Chuck- Aiming to smash all the Strava KOMs. The mention of Strava and Garmin will put him ahead of Bandito.
Sandy- At home in cold, wet conditions. The one to watch when it comes to "carb loading" at the pub.
BMXBandito- Hardman, fit, but completely mad. Rides a Cervelo, but likely to turn up on a fixie.
Greg- Training consists of remembering the one hill he's ever ridden up and eating chocolate.
