Long time since the Aldi bibs saw the light of day May have to take a run down to see you about some additional wardrobe for the trip in any case. FPR Jubilado Bludger

No plastic fantastic here apart from the bar and post... i'm hiding my uhmmm gadget garmin in me pocket and i'm gonna lie and say i have a 21 casette... any clip on rear flaps that suit the soloist ? prob ones that clip on the calipers.. i have a topeak but only suits round seatposts...
i volunteer as a second driver... you need to be fresh for the climbs Greg.. although i take absolutely no responsibility, as my right foot has a mind of its ownn ohh wait .. Liberty or Evo ?? Pain is weakness leaving your body

Re: 2012 Alpine Sufferfest
28 on the back rules me out, but i have 54 on the front, maybe it will make up for it and cancel each other out And chucky this is bandito were talking about, he will remove those compact cranks faster than you can say "compact cranks"
Re: 2012 Alpine Sufferfest
Bandito can't even bring himself to type the word "compact"
Re: 2012 Alpine Sufferfest
Since the Spizman's coming I'll probably be taking the noisy one. That's if I'm driving... we'll have to sort out what cars we have to choose from I guess. There's 8 of us going so there's going to be a bit of stuff to pack in.
Re: 2012 Alpine Sufferfest
lol... wwwwwhhssspsstchtchtchcthss. my mode of transport will be a civic hatch. The 4x4 with the kids seats needs to stay with the wifey. would prefer to hitch ( will not bring garmin and 27 if I have to ) and pitch in for petrol if possible. Pain is weakness leaving your body

If you beleive in a higher being better start praying for a few days good weather
Re: 2012 Alpine SufferfestMine is default...only one vehicle in the fam. That means I need to hitch a ride and of course will share petrol expenses....
Re: 2012 Alpine SufferfestOnly two weeks to go. Time to start pointing the bike uphill occasionally in preparation. Steady repeats on Garie Beach Rd. this afternoon as a starter.

Re: 2012 Alpine Sufferfest
You're a glutton for punishment Ehly. Of course if I had not had to be home to buy dinner I'd have done 9 repeats on Garie Beach Rode like a plonker this morning. Comfortable throughout, about 8th wheel under the bridge at ECR on last lap, decided to go real wide on the downhill R/hander, bloke in front decided to start braking, about 25 went past on the inside and it was all over FPR Jubilado Bludger
Re: 2012 Alpine Sufferfestyour all SOFT
to prepare for the snowies, i went to the snowies http://connect.garmin.com/activity/139234504
Re: 2012 Alpine Sufferfest
Stuff riding up hills, my training for the Snowies now consists of trying to find a good jacket for the expected wet weather Greg
Re: 2012 Alpine Sufferfest
if its raining all i have to worry about is which hand i am going to hold my JD and coke in whilst watching the big screen at the pub
Re: 2012 Alpine SufferfestA week to go gents
Current form guide; Ehly- Training hard, fit, fast. Completely mad. Loves being in the hurtbox. Lou- Rides up and down hills with Ehly, so must be at least slightly mad. Spiza- Spent the last month drinking coffee. Hasn't slept since. Doesn't ride Cervelo, but still dangerous. Donny- Rides Cervelo, but might be taking the Giant. Still in with a chance. Chuck- Aiming to smash all the Strava KOMs. The mention of Strava and Garmin will put him ahead of Bandito. Sandy- At home in cold, wet conditions. The one to watch when it comes to "carb loading" at the pub. BMXBandito- Hardman, fit, but completely mad. Rides a Cervelo, but likely to turn up on a fixie. Greg- Training consists of remembering the one hill he's ever ridden up and eating chocolate.
