A $125 million University of Technology Sydney campus, designed by award-winning architect Frank Gehry, was given the green light after it cut carparks to make way for 100 more bike bays.
NSW Planning gave the tick to what Mr Gehry described as a "wrinkled" design inspired by a tree house, calling it "a new educational facility of the highest design standards".
It will have 177 bike spaces for up to 1256 students and 326 academic staff after Sydney City Council complained 77 bike racks were not enough.
