I find myself agreeing with what is being reported here

Some common sense being meted at last.
It proposes to "develop a new functional road hierarchy for inner-Sydney local roads which reprioritises ... where cars are considered visitors to the space".

Pretty commonsense, not in some council areas though.

Makes sense in Leichhardt council area- whole area was built before cars & so narrow streets, limited parking & few houses with off street parking.

Also helps that shops, services etc are all pretty close by
