Bega - Nimmitabel - Cooma?

What is this road like for cyclists? I haven't ridden in that area for more than 20 years. Traffic and road conditions were OK then and I enjoyed the ride. After all this time, the traffic might be a lot heavier or, for all I know, the road could have been improved.

Would you ride it?

I did a nsw big ride down that way in 1999. I remember stopping for lunch at Nimmitabel and it was cold enough to blow the feathers off a duck.

It'll be foul if you do it at this time of year as its cold.

I sure do know it's uphill: from Cooma, I rode to the top of Kosciuszko, back in the days when the road was open.

I'm researching a possible Audax ride so I'd like to get some local knowledge about traffic.

given i ended up in the hospital at the bottom of the hill I can't even remember the road. sorry -i'm not any real help am i?
