M7 - Attempted Pick Pocket

Postby josephk86 » Sat Sep 15, 2012 6:11 pm

Hi Guys,

Just a warning regarding an incident I was involved in today. Riding south on the cycleway, on the sharp up hill over Richmond road. I passed two boys (maybe 10-12). Once passed, I heard then running behind me. Thinking they were just trying to keep up. About 100m down the road, my keys fallout of my saddle bag. Turning around to retrieve them, I noticed my phone had gone. Back tracked along the path and found the boys, phone in hand. Apparently they had 'found' it.

My bag was closed, I wouldn't have ridden 10km without the keys falling out earlier.

Gave the boys a serve and left it at that just wanted to let you all know.

Joe

P.S. Did anyone see the motorbikes around 10am, hundreds of them heading south, no idea what for not very cool!

Joseph, the hundreds of motorbikes heading south, were Police officers and retired Police officers, riding from the memorial to fallen Police in the domain, to the memorial at the Goulburn Police Acadeny. It is an annual event, and commemorates the fallen. This year Northern territory collegues joined, together with Police Forces from other states, and travelled to Tamworth where the ride commenced. So i reckon it is cool that the fallen are not forgotten
