2013 Event Listing
Postby dbellew » Mon Dec 03, 2012 10:59 pm
Hi all,
I'm planning my challenges for next year and would like to include 3-4 solid events scattered throughout the year.
I have completed Fitz's 105km and Sydney Gong ride this year. I have been seeking a list of events in NSW/ACT next year to help with planning.
Does anyone in the forum know of such a reference?
Thanks in advance,
Damo.

I don't know of such a list - it would be handy though. There doesn't seem to be as much on in NSW compared with VIC.
A couple of additions to the ones you mentioned
-grafton to inverell 228km in Feb
-blaney to bathurst 162km in April

Thanks.
I'll keep these in mind. It's always good to keep the variety in a training programme.

You can also try Loop the Lake in March 2013.
Its 85kms around lake Macquarie, just south of Newcastle.

You could always check out the Audax Calendar to see if anything there interests you. Also, is it strictly road rides? I've recently been planning my major rides for next year and included a couple of XC events in the Husky 100 and Highland Fling.

While Audax is mainly on-road riding, they have a dirt series in 2013 in NSW.
The rides are 35,70 and 100km's on different weekends and are around the Southern Highlands/Illawarra area.
Look up the Audax calendar and type in DIRT and NSW in the search boxes to get information on these events.
