Water bottles in the freezer at work already....supposed to be 28 today. Hoping my pool hits swimming temp today. It is up to 25 degrees after 1 week of solar (up from 16 degrees), so one hot day will get it up to 29.

Felt it this morning. Tackled a PB (distance-wise) along the bay and Cook's River Cycleway and now I'm wiped out for the day. Plenty of mums and dads out with the kids too! Have a feeling this summer is going to be a stinker!

Gosh it was HOT in Sydney today... I know, not hot compared to a mid summer day but considering I've still got the winter blankets on the bed and the heater out, it was hot enough for me not to be used to it!

Big sweat patches today. What great day to leave something critical at home and have to ride back to get it over lunch.

Nice day again for a ride. Lots of events around today which I just missed so I didn't get caught in amongst all the riders.

Some triathlon event at Parramatta Park meaning it was closed and the. Some of SOP and the Parramatta cycle way from the Silverwater bridge to Meadowbank.

Missed it by 15 mins. The precise amount of time I bailed early from work  .

Fingers-crossed for today.

That's my plan. Others I work with may have different ideas though.

Well, I'll be leaving at 4pm on the dot. Hoping the weather holds out until I get home. Will have to see if I can set a record on the M2 today. I only managed a sloth like time of 17 minutes from North Ryde to Pennant Hills, well short of my 14:44 best time!

I got about 100m from my front door yesterday and got caught when the heavens opened. Damn that was heavy rain. Thunder, lightning too.

Well that was a cool morning! Garmin said average temperature was 11.4 deg on my ride. 20kmh westerly wind provided the chill.

+1
Missed it by 5 mins. The same as yourself.

Legs this morning were shot after the sprint home - ave speed 35km/h over 10kms (I really don't like lightning and potential hail).

Will be looking at the radar this afternoon before leaving.

Left Westmead at about 1740 last night thinking I could beat the storm front..........not.Not an enjoyable trip home to Stanmore except that there was almost no traffic. Almost stacked it too ( lifting front wheel, left hand slipped fron bars-> front wheel hit ground sideways.....) lucky for cenrifugal ( ? centripetal) force!

Rained on for the first time in ages. Forgot the rain vest, but had to deploy the backpack cover. Bike was clean-ish, certainly isn't now.

What a change from yesterday. Decidedly cool this morning with a strong south westerly blowing. It was strong enough out on the M7, let's hope it was a bit more gentle on the coast for those doing the Gong ride as it would make it a bit of a struggle riding into the teeth of it.

I wasn't sure if it was you as i'm used to seeing you in the black LACC kit. Were you in a predominantly white kit heading south while i was going north? By the time my mind registered who it was we were long passed.

Fog at Terrey Hills this morning. Quite thick (visibility 50m) and damp. My ride was finished by 10am as it was warming up but I saw a guy starting out then (crazy). Temperature now 36 deg at Terrey Hills and 40 deg at Penrith.

Tell me about it! I got caught in it near Pendle Hill, so I raced down to the station and got the train back closer to home. Now the weather seems to be clearing!
