First time this year I wore a long sleeve winter weight jersey. 14 deg was certainly on the cool side.

Arm warmers were out in force in the peloton this morning.

Last night at 8:30pm I had the long pants and a long sleeve jacket on. I kept toasty warm. 8)

It is looking like garbage weather this afternoon. I have a feeling I'll be putting the bike on the trainer tonight.

same here - the arm warmers were dragged out of the bottom of the drawer this morning. The only thing to worry about now is the rain - lucky yesterday arvo and this morning but it looks pretty ordinary this afternoon.

Agreed. I might have a wet ride home too.

It was wet for me yesterday on the way home. Cool but dry this morning at least.

Had all the luck yesterday - managed to sneak out and back in between rain storms.

The long weekend was brilliant for weather - but damn it's getting chilly in the mornings now!

I'm hoping to get a nice easy 1 hour recovery ride in this afternoon - anything to avoid doing that on the trainer. ;)

Yep was about 8c this morning. Found out my new long fingered gloves have netting at the side of the fingers which makes them about as useful as an underwater bike.

Very windy, very cold, very wet. Managed 80km in it which felt like 180km.

Kudos indeed! I chickened out and went to Athlete Lab instead. I was plenty warm enough in there. It was freezing outside though.

I was going to ride rain, hail or shine since I was leading a ride. Unfortunately, no one turned up so I did the M7 solo (rained outbound). I counted six other riders. At the Prestons' Maccas an employee asked me "where are all the other cyclists"?

The Maccas worker probably had the heater going in the place. :) Out of the people I know who ride the M7 on weekends, you were the only one out there so far as I know.

I had my bike ready and was just about to get going, heard some noises on the roof tiles, walked outside at 6am and noticed it was raining steadily. That was enough to deter me.

Rode Centennial starting at 8am. Missed out on most of the rain but the ground was still wet. Only a limited bike clean was needed. Tomorrow will be another day.

Lovely sun and temperatures today - but good heavens it was windy. There were a few crosswind moments I'd prefer not to have ever again.

Turned out alright. There was a window between 6-9am where it didn't actually rain and wasn't too windy!

i had a long sleeve jersey and vest and knee warmers during my ride today (6.30-11am) and was just right. Would of been a bit chilly with only short sleeves i think. Winter is coming :(

It was cold to start with, then the sun came out but it became quite windy. I wore a long sleeve winter weight jersey which was fine while it was below 15 degrees but I did get too hot towards the end of the ride.

A short 62km this morning. Wore a base layer, summer jersey and arm "coolers" - could have done with an extra layer over the chest/torso. Not quite cold, but feeling the chill and looking forward to the climbs so get some warmth happening.

Heading west to St Ives into the teeth of the wind was tough but I must have been doing alright as I passed all but one on the leg back along Mona Vale Road to Terrey Hills. I caught up with AUBicycles at the RFS car park and Serena, who is the owner of awesome bike clothing brand Cycology Gear. A delightful and very fit lady :)

Coming back through Forest Way I decided I hadn't done quite enough bike time and did a few laps around Belrose to try and squeeze out an additional 10km. Thanks to the fierce tailwind I got a Top 10 on a Strava segment

Rode the M2 (west bound) around onto the M7 (south bound) to Elizabeth Drive. Not nice headwind the whole way. Left at 10.30am so avoided the rain and cold.

Brrrr! 4 degrees in western sydney this morning. Had the tights and gloves out in full force. Other than the cold, it was a nice ride to work :)

I love Sydney in May, a wee nip in the air, but a gorgeous day for riding. Those further west or who leave home earlier might disagree
