Broken umbrellas everywhere.
Had to pick up my road bike from the shop this Morning, so by the time I got home to jump on the commuter bike, the rain had stopped!
I'm not gloating as I did that yesterday and got rewarded on the way home with a drenching and a flat tyre.
Best to hold the gloating in sometimes :)

Let's see if it stays dry. I'm not on the bike, but there is still considerable opportunity to get drenched. Umbrellas were plenty useless this morning with horizontal rain. The sun was actually just out very, very briefly just a moment ago, but it has disappeared as I write this.

How was the shop with your bike?

All good. New seatpost has been fitted under warranty, although waiting for official word on cost. I assume zero because I have the bike back and didn't give them anything for it :-)
Pretty happy, and shop is coming together nicely by the look of it.
Probably going to lay by a Byk E-450 3i for my son's birthday in Feb as he's nearly outgrown the E-350, but is not ready for a 24" wheel yet. they are not cheap, but his younger brother will get it as his bike as he grows, and the Byk models hold their value pretty well.

Seems like it is a warranty fix. :)

It's going to be pretty hot this afternoon. I'm commuting part of the way, then riding the fixie, then back on the road-bike home, then replace a stretched chain. I suspect I'll be properly overheated.

There is a lady who regularly rides in the opposite direction to me, always has a smile, but today even smiley was looking a bit melted. At least it gave me an excuse for being slow

Hope you weren't referring to the arvo because for my commute it was hot hot hot. Slight headwind didn't help either!

It wasn't excessively hot in the CBD when I went outside at 11:30am, but I suspect in a few hours it will be scorching hot.

Riding home wasn't as bad as predicted - just like riding on a spring day ... in Newman

Just a normal hot day in Perth- dry. Just cruised along, did drink a litre of chilled water at home once I'd had my lukewarm shower

Cool today, and a bit of rain too. Fortunately I seem to have got around the edge of it.

I ride every day and must say, I was getting over the rain, but when you ride in 41 degree weather the rain is not soo bad haha total opposites.
If you can't explain it simply, then you don't understand it well enough.

It was already 27°C at my place at 7 am & with a forecast max of 38, my inner woose took over & decided against towing my little boy to daycare & took the train instead.

I usually wait to have a shower until I get to work, but today I got one for a chunk of the ride
