Well it might be just me but that's the first time I've heard of a Giant being referred to as exotic  :o

hahaha! Same here too. :) The bike today doesn't look white and silver any more. I'll clean the chain and cassette but won't bother with anything else. If I ride tomorrow it'll probably get just as dirty.

I can ride with it in a way that doesn't cause pain - avoid bumps and the like (I go slow over them), no big sudden acceleration.

Checked the radar this morning and it was clear. Went out for a short ride and made it back just as it started to rain. Luck or good planning.

I love the rain, but this drizzle we've had today doesn't rate. A meagre 4 mm in the last 4 hours is enough to get the bike dirty and make the roads slippery, but not enough to give the gardens and dams the water they need. Anyone know how to turn on the tap and make it worthwhile ?

I left at 6:30am this morning to do the same M7 loop, except I went via Glenwood. I planned to go back that way too. By the time I got Elizabeth Drive on the way back - I gave up and went home via the Liverpool-Parramatta T-way road. I did get pretty thoroughly soaked and my bike is looking very messy. 81km not bad considering.

Feeling good - I headed out just before 7 and got dribs and drabs of rain. Put the rain jacket over for a little bit before stopping to help a cyclist with her pucture. The real rain started the minute I got home and was having my first coffee.

Yeah, it's very cool this morning. At work, I'm sitting at my desk actually feeling cold for once. Usually it is stinking hot in this place.

Heads up for those planning to cycle tomorrow.
Workers in Sydney should consider leaving work early on Wednesday, especially those who live in northern suburbs, to escape a band of thunderstorms likely to hit the city in the afternoon.

Sydney may get 10-30 millimetres of rain and some pockets could cop much heavier falls, particularly in the city’s north, Weatherzone meteorologist Rob Sharpe said.

"It will probably be quite a dangerous afternoon on the roads, coming back from work,” Mr Sharpe said.

Working from home today, so looks like I picked a good day to skip, even though I looks great out there right now!

I suppose those journos and weather people are the ones lucky enough to be able to go early...

It seems like tonight will be bad weather. If track training is cancelled, I'm going to put the bike on the trainer and get some music going. It takes something special to make me do that. I hate trainers.

Soft

My homeward commute was from 15:10 to 16:00ish and while it was constant the rain was only light. Due to the temperature it was one of the most pleasant wet rides I can remember doing.

I would normally have gone in, but I had so much to do that working from home seemed a better option, except for the missed bike ride.
On the up side, my ride in this morning felt great after the day off.

Yuck - it's miserable this morning. Raining quite heavily. I will not be riding today (outside at least).

Was a lovely ride today. Bucketing down in Prestons back to Rooty Hill and dry as by Quakers Parkway. At least there was no wind.

Started off dry, ended up copping a bit of rain halfway. Can't say I enjoy wet heavy shoes. Still I figure it was better than no ride.

It was dry weather for me when I went down to Prestons and back on the M7 this afternoon. Quite enjoyable. :)
