Anyway, I saw only one other cyclist on my way in, so it will be a wet and quiet ride home!
Can I give a kudos thumbs up on the forum?

Saw a good number riding towards CBD via Oxford St and onto College St. Also a few on Anzac Br. There was a lull in the rain though but still, my heroes, especially knowing what's to come later this afternoon. Yet again, a strong south-westerly would just push all the Eastern suburbs riders home.

I was home sick today, but when your only form of commuting transport is your bike, you have to suck it up and just do it. You can only get so wet, it's really a matter of staying warm. The ride home is usually awful because you have to put your wet kit back on. At least it wasn't hailing.

No way I'd go for a ride in this sort of weather. Gale force winds plus pouring rain resulted in bins full of broken umbrellas at uni.

+1 on the hailing.

Rain was very stinging this morning - the worst part is not the wet kit on the way home but having to clean the bike and then doing it again tomorrow. Still it beats being stuck on the M7 car park for an hour like one of my mates.
Not fast, no style, but still get there.

Opted for a 10km run on the treadmill at work. Just not keen on getting laid up with another chest infection this winter. That wind was just too tough. Might have to dust off the trainer and clock up some k's that way instead. Sufferfest videos here we come!

Just some drizzle on the way home. It was pretty windy, but it was a tailwind of sorts so it was not too bad.

Bring on tomorrow!

This morning wasn't bad since the cage wasn't an option for me. Only got rained on for the first 10 mins out of 70. If anything I was too hot with my rain jacket and pants on but I didn't get wet.

Wind was a bit exciting on the way home last night and I got lucky enough to have a headwind. I also had missed the worn rear brake pad that decided to use metal on metal for braking so I had to go with the front only which made downhill in the wet a bit interesting.

The amount of road grime I wiped off the bike last night when fixing up the brakes was a new record! It had even blocked the holes on the jockey wheels.

Not many players out and about this morning either on the way in. A bit windy and damp (no rain to speak of) but not on Public Transport.

Blah

Weather forecast was for essentially sunny when I checked and looked fine when I woke up. So pulled off the rear guard, switched to the (cleaned!) 50mm wheels to enjoy the fine weather commute. Decided also to ditch the rain resistant stuff (nano flex) for a change.

Then 5km out it starts raining, and eventually buckets down ;(

The return trip is not going to be pleasant (or, at a minimum, putting the wet gear on is not going to be pleasant)

Awful weather! Windy and heavy rain. Cold and miserable.

But now the sun is out... Unpredictable.

Thought it was going to be cloudy with rain towards to east so I set off early this morning. Coming back from a loop on the M7, once I got to Silverwater, it decided to shower persistently till I got home. So much for cleaning the chain and bike yesterday

It was pretty horrible wasn't it. I could only get in a short ride due to other commitments so did a loop to Olympic Park at 6 this morning and just missed the weather. As it turned out i was glad i hadn't planned a long one with the cold wind and that vile drizzle, it felt like being back in the old country.

I actually did manage 70km today - but against that headwind and the rain it was tough. It was really cold at times.

The bike was clean before today. It got cleaned again.

This morning is stunning. I rode the M7 and after 7a.m was wishing i didn't have my winter top on. After the weather this week the warm sun is more welcome than ever.

Ya beautiful weather in Sydney indeed. Best day for weeks and I was in a hospital bed.

Sigh... The joy of quincy... Yes it is a medical condition.

Took a ride down to South Cronulla this morning and gave myself the luxury of sitting on the rocks for 15 minutes watching the surfers. What a fantastic day!

Alas it's into the office for me this afternoon. :(

50km/hr winds in the city. So much fun!
