Which Shimano wheels do you ride on Challs?

They are 600 level wheels (about 2 years old now) much better than the 500 level wheels. I broke so many spokes on those wheels that I have had the rear wheel replaced twice I think.

This is the third nipple head I have broken in about a month tough. Very frustrating. I should buy some bullet proof hubs 32 or 36 hole hubs and have them laced to mavic open pros and have done with it....

That would be frustrating! I'm hoping the 651s that came on my Corsa last a while (only had the bike a couple of months) :-).

I really shouldn't complain, these wheels have been pretty good to me, it is only lately that I have had issues... The 600 series wheels seem to be a fair bit more reliable than the 500 series that I have experienced (and others have written about on forums etc) I'm sure your wheels will be tops!! :)

What's with all the cats on the cycleway? :shock: I raced one this evening :lol: Didn't take too long to catch his tail, I nearly fell off my bike laughing

M7 cycleway zozza? I've seen a couple of cats on there at various times. Usually only one per ride though and they're not too erratic.

Yep M7, I saw at least 6 cats and one rabbit tonight, I don't think they're all feral, prob just like to have a wander from nearby homes?

Sorry, a tad dyslexic tonight. I have 561 wheels, not 651s. I wasn't too far off :-).

I thought I'd have trouble on the hills today coz I haven't been on the bike for a week but I made it! I think the rest did me good actually. I've been feeling some muscles I've never felt before. Sorta weird really...

Anyhow, how lovely was the weather!
Starfire: I am happy to see her. But Blackfire rules the videogames and she is able to share very depressing poems AND she knows the cool moves and she always knows when people are NOT talking about shovels.

I got my days and bikes mixed up :shock: .

The Blade which has been relegated to wet weather use, yesterday. Beautiful day. No rain.

Today - the Corsa. It looked overcast but OK. Rode the M7 shoulder and it started raining enough to make me turn around by the M4. Now my baby is dirty and it's cleaning time.....

Ditto Boognoss,Today I did less than half the K's I wanted to do, so I went home and cleaned the bike, I was keen to go out this evening but the bike is Soooo clean,and it's raining again anyway :roll:

I rode with a local bunch this morning and was caught in the rain on the way into Penrith - it wasn't particularly heavy but I was frozen and soaked by the time I got home to Windsor, half an hour to clean the bike - but it does look good - for the time being.

Still trying to dry my shoes in front of the heater...

Unless you need to dry it in a hurry, it's probably better to let it dry naturally (slower). Heater can do wonderful things to shoes. :wink:

I put mine in front a fan left on in the garage over night.

Kirt, bugger !!! What bunch do you ride with on Sundays ? Carol and I were going to head to the Regatta this afternoon but the rain came over.. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow morning, I'm meeting Jeff at Lifecycles at 7:00am, fingers crossed

I knew I should have ridden. It wasn't raining when I left home for work and it didn't rain when it was time to get home. It just rained in the middle. Sorry... I added to the pollution today.

Looks like the weather for most of June is rain.... :(

A tip I got from another forumite for when they're really wet is to to stuff them with newspaper. The paper seems to wick the moisture out and help them dry faster.

Seems to work, too - so long as I take out the removable insole first. :oops: :lol:

Went riding in the rain today.

I started on the trainer but after 10 minutes thought this is bloody boring it's not that wet and went out.

yes, looks like more rain for all of this week. I cleaned the bike too after a few wet rides this weekend. Times like this i am glad i have a dedicated commuter bike and dont mind if it gets wet and dirty. The TCR can stay indoors and wait for nice weather.
