Gale force winds here at the moment, even if I did want to get wet.

Yep, same here very pleasant and glad I run mudguards for anti-brownstripe through puddles.find_bruce wrote:Lots of debris on the paths today. I avoided areas such as the bay run that are likely to still be under.

On the Epping Rd shared path the debris really kicked up a notch from Lane Cove West as far as my turnoff at St Leonards.

What winter socks do you wear? My feet were cold yesterday so I wore explorers today & my feet were still cold! Think I need socks or shoes that keep the wind out.g-boaf wrote:There is still a bit of debris around even after a week has gone. And very, very cold in the mornings. The windbreaker is packed away, the winter jacket is in use and the winter socks are nice and warm.

Very soft wool socks, and they are quite warm.

Maybe need this Toasti Toes. Might get smoke coming off feet. Would be better if it is re-usable but it might be smelly?find_bruce wrote: My feet were cold yesterday so I wore explorers today & my feet were still cold!

After the fingers come my toes, then knees.find_bruce wrote:My feet were cold yesterday so I wore explorers today & my feet were still cold! Think I need socks or shoes that keep the wind out.
I try to tackle all of them at the same time.
To keep out wind - use your wet weather gear ... overshoes are cheaper than shoes and can be used for both wet and cold.

Managed to get out for first decent ride in several weeks and avoid rain. Double bonus. Back home at 9am, buckets at 10am.g-boaf wrote:It **was** fairly dry this morning.
