I have just came across a new venture in Sydney that rents out road bikes (Cannondale and BMC). This is an often asked product by travellers on various forums and thought it would be worth filing the information here. They are charging $50/2hrs. I guess the success and failure of this venture will depend on whether they've set the price point correctly to sustain the volume needed. http://www.livelo.com.au/ Disclaimer: No personal or financial links to the venture/owner etc.

I'd love to take the BMC Gran Fondo out for a ride when they arrive. I'm just a bit concerned that I might like the bike so much, that it will become the most expensive bike hire ever.

I'm heading to Sydney for the Queen's bday weekend and was thinking of going for a ride with my brother in-law by renting and seeing what the fuss is about carbon frames Are you restricted to ride around SOP?

Got a reply back from Parkbikes and they said I'm not restricted to SOP. So hopefully my brother inlaw is free for a ride that weekend.
