"blackjack and hookers"!? :o

Why didn't say so before!? Hell, even I'd ride with you if there's blackjack and hookers.

You're not so bad after all, BFV.

Is a retro bike necessary to attend these rides and how fast do you guys go? :)

No need for a retro bike, but if you have one, all the better. Look back a couple pages, and you can spot a Trek Madone. If youre looking for a small group ride at a fairly moderate pace(average ~20km/h), feel free to join us.

Good to see a very local person to me. Maybe Ive even seen you around.

Guys, I need second motion on the start time. I am proposing 6 AM, 28-Saturday, at Bicentennial Park (SOP) where they have a bike hire. I am definitely open for 7 or 8 AM start as well. We will be taking counterclockwise and will have a break at Bourke St (St Jude Coffee) or in North Sydney (no idea on place yet). They usually have weekend Market at Milsons Point, where the Bridge ramp terminates - much better as this give us a chance to eat multi-cultural food,

So from SOP, we will head towards Cooks River, then Bourke St, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Epping/M2 Cycleway, Shrimton Creek Bike Path, then finally to SOP again.

Here is the Start MAP.

If I can be so bold, I'd recommend 7:00 am. It's not just the bikes that are retro - some of us are pretty slow in the early parts of the am.

Hi everyone,

After a few weeks of lurking on these boards I figured I was as well make an account in the occasion that I do post something..I have all but recovered from my injuries sustained and have since returned to the bike but am still a bit wobbly and nervous as I am not fully healed and do not want to further my pain.

That said, I will be joining you all on Saturday and hopefully attempting to make the distance. May I suggest we take a break at Sparrow Gelato in Crows Nest? A friend of mine works there and does a good coffee so I would like to drop by and say hi. It's at the turnoff on West St onto Ernest Pl

Ok. 7am, Bicentenial Park - SOP - This Saturday.

I'll have to drive in and park nearby, somewhere. By the way, my name is Greg & I'll be on the Blue, early '80's Paino with shiney Campag bits.

See you all there :)

See you on Saturday Greg.
So far there are 10 confirmed Retro Riders.

Rheicel, Claire, Andy, QV, Bruce, Greg, Joe, Minh, Austyn, Mark, ...

Are we going to have a break at Milsons Sat Market? They start at 8:30. We should be there between 9-10 am. Or if you like a a sort of typical Saturday morning breakfast with a friendly service, we can stop at Bourke St (St Judes Coffee). Sorry these are the only two places I usually stop during weekend rides, open to any suggestion!

To those who have ridden from the start point at SOP, how is the parking? Google maps shows lots of spots. Are there any restrictions or time limits? Thanks in advance for any advice,

Joe

Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...
