Hi Claire, my wife want to tell you that it is good to meet you too. We ended up riding about 80 km on the day. My daughter is exhausted but she recovered well next day!

I would, but I have to go to the markets on Saturday. Quite miffed, actually, because they cancelled the racing on Saturday, which means I won't get a proper ride at all.

Lovely day for a ride. Did a quick trip round the block just to make sure I got over 100km. After our conversation re strava I had a laugh when I uploaded it - apparently I managed to pick up 90 "trophies" that's almost 1 per km

Thanks for a great 'half-ride' Claire, ..even though I had to bail.
50k's in the legs ....and I'm in the 'good books', ...so all is well.

Reckon I'll be out again tomorrow morning to put 50k's more in the legs.

Nice day for a good ride today. I did about 77km today, but only picked up about 30 trophies with one KOM. If Claire used Strava, she'd prob have 50 QOMs. I reckon I would've tied with Geoff Stocker on one segment as I was holding about 42-47km/h, but my GPS loses connection(must've been going too fast ), and says I was resting for 18s. One day I'll beat him.

Went to Josh's garage sale afterwards to pick up some bits. If everything goes well, I'll have a Gios next ride. And hopefully the Bundy the one after.

Notched up my first 100k ride today, despite being temporarily halted by my spasming legs! Raised my seatpost a centimetre on the way home which seemed to help. The winds on the way back didn't
