I did save people the work of taking two bents up those stairs!

That was the most flooded I've seen the underpass, it was damn near seat height and the water was nearly to the bend.

Fascinating how much vegetation can be caught in your drivetrain riding through there.

Any takers for a February ride ?

For March I am thinking a ride to the Sydney Classic Bicycle Show on Saturday 22 March would be fun for those who are not exhibiting / selling

I'm in for a February ride! The classic bike show sounds like a great idea for March, where is it being held?

Hey guys, I hope this doesn't clash with the Sydney Classic Bicycle Show L'Eroica ride on the morning of Sunday 23 March?
Going along the Cook River Cycle way, starting from the Canterbury Velodrome and finishing off at Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush. Stop there for a coffee, conversation and photos, then back to Tempe.
We'd probably congregate at the German Concordia Club (next to Tempe Stn) for lunch.
Details of the ride will come later.
We encourage all participants to be covered by Cycling Australia insurance i.e. paid up financial members of Cycling Australia ($88 per year).
The route is very sedate - 99% of ride on paved cycle path or sidewalk (all legal). Pace will be relaxed. Return trip is about 45km.
... 15km short of a cardiac arrest ...

What's the situation on Cowpasture Rd? Is there bicycle lane? It's a pretty busy artery... :| Worth getting out to the M7 a little further north?
Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

Cowpasture Road has a good wide shared path that you rarely see walkers on (everybody seems to drive there) and you can go on it all the way through to where it joins Camden Valley Way and then get to the very start of the M7. The only missing link is the 100 metres or so by the big roundabout at the bottom of the Horsley Drive opposite the WSRP. Min's link is all paths.

I'd be very keen on joining in again if the date is good. I'll try not to run into anyone this time.

Made some slight amendment to the route - re Cowpasture road, there are shared paths either side according to street view so it won't be an issue I believe. Will be doing a practice run during the week, will see how it goes. Direction is clockwise by the way, so Canley --> Hoxton Park --> M7 --> etc

I rode Cowpasture this morning from the bottom of the M7 at Camden Valley Way through to the roundabout at Hoxton Park Road. The path is good all the way through and is on both sides of the road for a few kilometres around the redeveloped old Hoxton Park airport until it passes Elizabeth drive where it comes to an abrupt end on the western side. The eastern side goes on and on and on though.
