On an overcast and somewhat rainy day we ventured from our homes to meet at Tempe, for a ride that no one really anticipated. For many the roads were new terrain yet to be discovered, new smells to invigorate the senses and fast, steep corners to sharpen our riding skills on wet roads. All good until Minh had an off while descending into Nato'. Scratched arm and bar tape, very bruised ego . Undeterred he continued with more determination, onwards and upwards out to Bundeena for perfect timing to meet the ferry, bound for Cronulla. The rain set in while crossing the water and breakfast was sought at the nearest and driest cafe. Of course the rain stopped during brekkie and then returned within 5 min's of riding off on the return towards Tempe and beyond. Good to hear of everyones safe return to their homes. Ride safe, thanks for the fun

G day Gang from a soggy Adelaide..... I feel your "wetness" Almost....
you all look like you need a RV each... it's dry inside one you know lol
Rotovelo across Australia is going well.... I reckon I've been pretty lucky to get this far before meeting any serious rain.
The plan from here is either Direct to Geelong, or Warnambool - Torquay - Geelong....
depending on how the road n weather gods behave.
Be good n ride safe//
Hey Mark! Glad you made it to Adelaide!, good going! Well if it's any consolation it's been raining pretty hard all day today in Sydney, so you're not missing out on much.
Good luck with the rest of your ride!
A few (too many) things happening Mark; meant to follow through earlier. I think I need to do a journey like yours to escape from things for a while! Quite a ride.
Have PayPal'd something.
Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

Any Retro-riders interested in escorting me on the last stretch of my "Ride Across Australia" from Homebush to Bondi on Sunday 25 May?
Meet Gloria Jeans (AT) Olympic Park 7.30am.
Route to be decided on the day.
Let's make it the May Retro Ride.
I'll be there.
Sounds good. There's a Gloria Jeans there? Yet another chance for me to get lost in Olympic Park....

That is not the Gloria Jeans you are looking for - Joe_H would be pleased to see he is not the only one to make that mistake

A great day out on the bike and nice to meet you all in reality finally! And congratulations to Mark, a tremendous accomplishment!
It's fair to say the ride back without you was a less "starey"
Thanks to those that made it. Thanks to the others for your well wishes. It was a very emotional day for me.
I hope to see you soon out on the road.
Bruce, rdp ..... nps, life does get in the way of cycling occasionally.
