I had set a Strava goal @44min for "Col de Kurrajong 1st cat"
Legs felt mushy as hell yesterday and i got dropped well before the pinch at the cafe.
But am surprised i got PB(43:03) as i was on granny (39x27) from the bottom. I definitely know i can better my time yesterday.
must be the thought of "don't get dropped, don't get dropped, don't get dropped", then "don't get dropped too far". that kept me going.

14/07 153bpm 00:46:58
21/07 159bpm 00:45:20
28/07 153bpm 00:46:08 (stopped at petrol station at begining of segment)
18/08 158bpm 00:44:02 (stopped 10meters before end of segment )
22/09 149bpm 00:43:03
Next target 42min.
I'll struggle to climb anywhere as quick as you guys but I sure will try hold on till my lungs and legs blow up. =)
Thanks again.

Yesterday effort was 10W avg less than the past tries and the HR was also almost 10beats lower for that 40min+ section.
Thats as much analysis from me.. lol. not really using any tool except Strava.
Quarq was for curiosity but your right i should use it more efficiently - atm its just another number which i'm not quite sure what to do about. =(
Will need to chat to ya more next time we get a ride in about it.

I just looked at your segment. Notice you're up and down like crazy, before settling in. You'd probably benefit from putting in less energy into the flats and just focus on TTing up the hill. Likely your FTP is higher than Strava has decided as well. Looks like there is ample room for improvement - best thing is you can pace using the Quarq, so you don't have to get too stressed about where they are - having a minute of kick once you are past the S's would be more useful than being closer, and being ready to blow up.
