Could only be down the centre of the bridge I assume, leaving said problem of people walking across from one side to the other.

Not a stupid idea. There are raised cycleways in some European countries, so why not use the monorail infrastructure?

So it's a simple case of O'Farrell wanting to gain the credit of the plan ahead of Clover Moore. They both know a cycle network is needed in the city, just a question of who can take the credit. LOL

Me too - and I don't even use it. Friend who uses it on a daily commute said there's been queues longer
than 10 minutes to get up the stairs at Milsons Point in the morning. Very clear evidence of the need.

While the plan is some acknowledgement of the need, the abscence of timeframe makes it almost
meaningless. It will be all too easy for government to pick and choose which bits will be done,
and it's not hard to guess that the cheapest bits will be done first.

What odds that the College St cycleway will be deconstructed long before the parallel paths are finished ?
