Maybe a ride to Elizabeth Dr and back tonight if it stays fine. Definitely not yet ready for a full bore Prestons R/T

Kudos for your optimism Sandy. I have to look after the kidlets tonight, so I'm out anyway. Managed to sneak a short ride in between showers today instead.

Cheers,

Was I really the only one out there tonight or was I just too late at the start and missed everyone? Not one for solo night rides just turned around at GWH. Good short hit out after two days on the sofa.

Thanks Lou. I've seen them described as "the poor man's Venge" :P Set of racy wheels would set it off but they'll have to wait (unless you've got some surplus hoops lying around the garage {but not ventilated Assaults})

Didn't anyone tell you Sandy, we now meet at 5pm and go KOM chasing around the local area?

Cheers,
Greg

PS Hope you didn't take the new bike out in these conditions  if you did I'll take it off your hands for $5

Most certainly NOT the night for a "new white bike". Bit of moisture and dirt not a problem for the trusty blue and black Orbea. She'll be shining like a new pin again tomorrow. 8)

I did an hour on the M7 Tuesday night from Prestons Maccas heading north and back. Dave and I didn't see anyone else. It was a pretty enjoyable ride actually, as long as you don't mind plenty of puddles. I found out just how muddy they were when I got home though - 2nd clean and re-lube in about 2 weeks :( At least I'm getting quicker at cleaning it. Marcus

Don't you just hate it when you ride 25 kms to meet up for a pre arranged ride and your mate doesn't bother to turn up :P

Couldn't agree more!! Jenolan ride 2011 everyone met at the bubbler at the designated time, everyone that is except one so called "mate" who never showed. This "mate" who shall remain nameless was apparently spotted in the vicinity of Mt Victoria with his feet up enjoying tea and scones (dropped there by his GLW no doubt). Despite his obvious snub we towed him to Jenolan and back, then with all the hard work done and just a roll down the hill ahead of him he snuck off at Katoomba and proceeded alone (his GLW probably picked him up at Wentworth Falls) He then had the temerity to claim to have ridden from home to Jenolan and return  That's mates for ya

I'm out. This warm weather is messing me up, so I'm going to drag Georgey out of bed at stupid o'clock tomorrow instead. He loves riding before the sun comes up. :P

Thanks for the ride guys. Was doing ok until somewhere on equestrian slog when what little mojo I had abruptly departed.

Special thanks to old 'n rusty who generously shouted everyone who continued down to prestons maccas a coffee. Much appreciated, except I forgot to eat something as well so my stomach imploded on the way home
