And the damn flu as well. I also left work late. Looking forward to it tonight as well. It has been raining a lot here in Merrylands and it looks like more coming.eon wrote:DAMN YOU weather

I have to say, having it next to the 58, it's really growing on me fast. The racier vision is nice; 11 speed and deep dish next on the chopping block Dan said he wouldn't accept 11-32 LOL but there is something nice about a 23 and 32 flip hehehe

I need to let his tyres down so he doesn't keep taking my KOMs... I cut 9 seconds off my best time on Gilba and he was still a second in front! (I'm warming up first next time and taking the Madone next time LOL)

I hit the path from Norwest at about 5:45 and went down to cowpasture rd and back.TimW wrote:went out at 5pm, two drops of rain and a dry path
Ditto, couple of spits of rain, and dry path.
I also determined that 86 gear inches on the track bike is too tall on the road/path here lol

i run 76ish 46x16 and seems quite right with the TNFPR run.
until they decide to go bananas on the down hills and flats..
Have seen ridiculous cadence trying to tuck in behind Zozza down the Equestrian on his 53x11 at full blast...

Yeah, I cbf changing the ratio from last time I was at the track. Ran 80" as my regular road ratio for the last 2.5 years with no worries. Even did some hills (cat 3 & 4 stuff) on 80.. although the hills in Perth aren't that big and the rest of the city is fairly flat.eon wrote:holy cow... 86HLC wrote:I also determined that 86 gear inches on the track bike is too tall on the road/path here lol

Might go back to 80 for my next adventure, or down to 49/17... legs feel suitably stronger today though! a few more runs and I might not even have to gear down lol

What's it like today for rain... If I get away on time from work, might make it down to Prestons tonight.HLC wrote:I hit the path from Norwest at about 5:45 and went down to cowpasture rd and back.TimW wrote:went out at 5pm, two drops of rain and a dry path

Only saw 4 other people on the way back, two on TT bikes and the others I don't know who they were. Ended up talking with a couple of truck drivers who are a bit interested in bike riding.Xplora wrote:I hope a few lads came down to keep you company... I'll be riding tomorrow~
By the way, watch out for the cow-poo between Cowpasture Road and Lizzy Drive. It's still there. Ran over some of it too.
I'll see if I can make it down there tomorrow if I get away from work early enough. Feeling better today too, flu effects are wearing off.
