The Draft Bike Plan document and cycleway network maps and FAQs be found at www.wollongong.nsw.gov.au/draftbikeplanWollongong City Council would like to invite you to provide your feedback on the draft City of Wollongong Bike Plan 2014 – 2018, currently on exhibition until Monday, May 19, 2014.
We spoke with you last year about your ideas on cycling in the Wollongong Local Government Area (LGA), with an overwhelming and positive response from the community. So, firstly – thankyou! Many of the issues addressed in the Draft Bike Plan were developed in response to community feedback gathered through the 2013 engagement, including the proposed cycleway network.
We’re gearing up to create the greatest Bike Plan the City of Wollongong has seen yet, so we’d really appreciate if you could take the time to have a read of the document and provide your comments on the Draft Bike Plan.
The Draft Bike Plan is a strategy that spells out infrastructure and non-infrastructure measures to be implemented in the LGA to support improved cycling experiences. The Draft Bike Plan is geared towards all types of cyclists, with the aim to increase both recreational and commuter cycling throughout the LGA.
