Gidday nifty,
Our club (MCCC) does a regular Saturday mornig ride starting at the bus stop opposite the Woolies servo on Narellan Rd. I think the depart time is aroung 6:30 or 7:00am during winter, and a bit earlier during summer. The course usually runs down through Camden, to the bottom of Razorback (some guys will ride up and then back down and try to catch the bunch), then across to Menangle and back to Narellan Rd. The pace is pretty quick and they take no prisoners on the hills.
Aside from that, we hold a Wednesday night training ride at Smeaton Grange on a 900m loop of industrial area roads. No traffic to worry about and it starts at 6pm. The group will do laps of the circut at a reasonably good rate, with each rider taking a turn at the front for a lap, before peeling off to rejoin at the rear of the group. If you get dropped, it's just a matter of sitting up to catch your breath, then tag back on as the group passes by.
Check out the MCCC website for further details (link is in my sig below).
Cheers.

Sounds like a good group Kev, I'm tempted to come down on a Wed night though climbing Razorback looks most tempting...sounds like we've got to get a little more action going out at Penrith, compared to you blokes we're "soft"
Cheers Pete
p.s we cant twist your arm to come and join us on this Saturdays 4 gorges ride ?

Kev,
thanks for the reply, I did have a look at your club web site but was unsure if you had to be member before meeting up for rides. Will come across on the following Wednesday, would be there this week but away for work this week.
Nifty

Nifty,
Noo need ot be a member to turn up for a training/social ride. The more the merrier.
Not sure if there will be a lot of people there at the moment, but I expect it to pick up when daylight savings starts in a few weeks. Might be best to wait until then.
