I haven't thought about where to meet... can someone else who is good at maps and directions please do that!

Missy
Some people don't have to meet me for me to do THAT :P

I cruised Beach Rd in the low 30's on Deni, I'm not in a hurry. If we go a mixed group, I'm happy for either option, If it looks like a full on blast I'll prolly pull back anyway, my bunch skills aren't the best for high speed.
Chances are I'd be in the chase group anyway, tho' I hear Missy gives good draft

So now the scenario is that in an inept attempt to get onto Missy24's wheel as she pulls away, the chase group has a huge pile-up as it tries to accelerate past 35km/h. Let's just make sure it happens in front of a nice cafe.

LMAO.... I'm not actually sure how to respond to the above

So the way I read this is... you boys are gonna sit on my wheel for 50km... I know Hoolie will be able to catch me if I break away 8) and I'm also 100% sure that elmo will too 8) the rest of you better start training :P

I did just get back from Mordi, its a 70km round trip for me, so not far at the moment I'm sitting on a nice 32-25km per hour, I still have plenty of energy and should have probably headed to the BLVD for a couple of laps... but I'm lazy!

I don't normally stop in St Kilda, there's a little cafe that I know in South Yarra which isn't far from St Kilda, I just gotta check to see what time they are opened to on Saturday's.

If people want to stop in St Kilda then you should start giving me suggestions of places to stop at... this is on the return by the way... you should all have enough caffine in your system by the time you get there.

I'm happy to take an easy jaunt along beach rd, I'm happy to not drop anyone or stop along the way and let you all catch up. But I do think we should have two groups, fast and not so fast.

That part of town is not my territory so can't help much with cafes. I'm happy to go to South Yarra and my wife works around there so she might have some ideas.
I'd prefer to ride as a group as I normally ride solo anyway. Maybe play it by ear on the day. If there's a fast group and slow group I'll no doubt be in the slow group. And whilst I'd like to go all the way to Mordi if there's time pressure I'm also happy to cut short so as not to hold up the quicker riders. In other words I'll go with the flow. I've got a day pass so no time pressure for me.
I'll probably head down there next weekend to find the best way there and see just what sort of speed I can do - this flat road concept really is a novelty :)
Assume we are starting at what appears to be the traditional start point?
Also, how do we recognise each other? Shall I wear a white carnation?

Ok... if we do break up we can meet at Mordi, I think that's fair.
