Pat on the Back to Beach Road Cyclists

Postby kibnedyo » Sun Oct 11, 2009 9:31 pm

Greetings,

Most interestingly was the number of Red Lights I saw run by vehicles, 18 in total on Saturday afternoon alone during a 61klm ride. What I thought most interesting was not one of those vehicles was a bicycle.
The route basically was Albert Park - Westgate Park, back along Beach Rd - Seaford and back to Mentone.

Although the marathon forced other plans early Sunday, it was good to be out there doing something.

Brilliant weather and I must say most people out there said hello along the way. It was most enjoyable. Thanks Guys

Even the coffee wasn't bad!

I was out on Beach Rd Saturday from about 11am till 1.30pm and both cyclists and drivers were pretty well behaved. Saw one red-light runner (bike) and only a couple of cars came closer than I'd like - both had personalised plates.
Might have seen you out there kibnedyo but don't know how to recognise you so a belated Hi!
