Black Rock Cyclists

Postby Nix » Mon Sep 27, 2010 9:44 am

I just had to post to give a big thumbs up to Black Rock Cyclists...

Riding back from Mornington on Saturday, a friend and I tagged onto the back of their group (~12 riders) and they were simply the best behaved, most organised group I've experienced in my short amount of time riding!
They were all rolling around the front (not sure of the exact term, but the riders were constantly rolling on front, and then back to the back of the group and back up again) with one guy playing "gatekeeper" at the back to ensure others didn't interrupt this finely tuned machine.
As we got closer to Black Rock, some of the riders dropped back into the following bunch (which had grown from the 2 of us to at least another 10 riders) and I got to have a bit of a chat, but didn't get to thank them for saving my legs... so, thanks!

If it wasn't for these guys, I would have taken twice as long to get home (averaged 31.3km/h for the full century)...
