21 June Rally to Bring Back Bike Funding

BVN is organising a rally at the Victorian Parliament steps, 7.30-8.30am, Thursday 21 June to condemn the Baillieu Government’s decision to cut funding for bike infrastructure to zero.

I was there. It wasn't a bad turn out considering the miserable weather.

I was but the pics didn't turn out too well.
...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

I see there is another rally on this Sunday the 29th at midday, this time at the “steps” in Gipps Street Abbotsford in a further attempt to get our mate Ted to change his mind about the bicycle infrastructure budget.

Why on a Sunday? There are no pollies there on a Sunday, TV and newspaper newsrooms are at half strength and too many people have family things to get on with.
